Sometimes, our captions get a little distracted. Whether there’s background music, city noise, or the AI was simply lost in thought, you may find that your captions are missing some phrase.
But don’t worry — adding those missed phrases is easier than you think. This guide will walk you through the steps to get your captions fully packed and on point 🕵️♀️
Steps to follow
Once the video is uploaded to Liro, use these steps to edit the captions👇
Open the video;
Click on Timeline;
Choose the Chunks option;
Find the exact point where the phrase is missing;
Add the missing phrase:
If you see a "+" sign where the phrase should be, simply click it.
If there's no "+" sign, click on the adjacent chunk and drag it in the opposite direction to another chunk until the "+" appears.
Enter the missing phrase and tap Done;
Check the video to ensure the subtitles match the spoken words. If they don’t, expand/contract the desired chunk by clicking on it and pulling it in the right direction.
Click Done once you're satisfied with the changes.
💡 A tip: For easier editing, you can adjust the size of all chunks in the video timeline by holding the edges with your fingers and dragging them in the desired direction to either increase or decrease their size.
Phew, you did it! Great job! Now, with this new skill, you can easily tackle any subtitle issues that come your way. Happy editing 🎉
