Can I Set Custom Settings for the Video Export?

Learn where you may set up the frame rate, resolution, bitrate and codec for your video

Updated today

Working with videos is all about experimenting and customizing. At Liro we let you choose everything: starting with the fonts, and format and ending with the export settings. Now, let's dive in and find out more 😎

Video Codec

A video codec is like a translator that compresses and decompresses video files so they take up less space on your device while keeping the quality good. There are two options in Liro 👇

  • H.264 AVC – good quality at lower bitrates; works better for older devices;

  • H.265 HEVC – better video quality at half the bits of H.264; more efficient for high-resolution content:

Resolution

Resolution is the number of pixels in a video. It determines how clear and detailed the video looks. Here are the options you have:

  • 720p – less data storage, less sharp and clear image, lower pixel count;

  • 1080p – more data storage, sharper and clearer image, more pixels;

  • 2k – requires less power, works with much more hardware, especially older ones;

  • 4k – sharper details in displays, a higher pixel density (more pixels):

💡 A note: your resolution options depend on the video you upload to Liro and can differ.

Frame Rate

Frame rate is the number of individual pictures shown per second in a video. It is usually written as FPS (frames per second), affecting the video smoothness. You have a range of options:

  • 20-30 fps – works well for less active and more settled videos;

  • 40-60 fps – better for videos in fast motion:

💡 A note: same as with the resolution, your FPS values can differ, but it is not a problem.

Bitrate

Bitrate is how much data is processed per second in a video, measured in bits per second, and it influences the video quality and file size. You can use the slider to choose the number you need:

💡 A note: the bitrate can also have different numbers so it is fine if yours differs from the one above.

This is it! Now you have mastered the export in Liro 😉
